Located in the stone-paved Quarter of Miyagawa-cho (south of Gion-Shijo), Sakura-an welcomes the guest with the traditional paper-lamp as it has been since it was originally built as a tea-house, like the rest of the houses in the area.
Due to the privileged location, the visitor can easily meet the Geiko (Geisha) walking down street to their jobs.
Sakura-an's location is very convenient to visit Gion's quarter (Yasaka Shrine, Kodaiji Temple and Higashiyama Area) as well as Kiyomizu-dera Temple, all of them at short walking distance.
The house can accommodate up to 8 people (1 group/night).
There is a twin-bedded room and 4 spare futon (Japanese mattress) to be displayed at the Japanese rooms.
