Located in the stone-paved Quarter of Miyagawa-cho (south of Gion-Shijo), Sakura-an welcomes the guest with the traditional paper-lamp as it has been since it was originally built as a tea-house, like the rest of the houses in the area.
Due to the privileged location, the visitor can easily meet the Geiko (Geisha) walking down street to their jobs.
Sakura-an's location is very convenient to visit Gion's quarter (Yasaka Shrine, Kodaiji Temple and Higashiyama Area) as well as Kiyomizu-dera Temple, all of them at short walking distance.
The house can accommodate up to 8 people (1 group/night).
There is a twin-bedded room and 4 spare futon (Japanese mattress) to be displayed at the Japanese rooms.

HOW TO GO TO SAKURA-AN:
＞＞＞From JR Kyoto Station By Bus:
Take n. 205 and get off at Kawaramachi-Matsubara.
Walk 5 to 10 min east across Kamogawa Eiver on Matsubara Bridge.
At the other side of the river you will find on the right side a little park.
Keep going east on Matsubara Street and turn left when finding a stone-paved road.
Go north a few meters to find and turn right on a little stone-paved road. Walk a few meters east to find Sakura-an on the left side.
Bus n. 206. Get off at Kiyomizudera-michi. Walk 5 to 10 min west along Kiyomizudera-michi St.
Before reaching Kawabata-dori St. and Matsubara Bridge, you will find a stone-paved road.
Turn right, walk a few meters and turn right again on the little road in which you will find Sakura-an on the left side.
It takes about 10minutes from JR Kyoto station.
